About Kelly's Cheesecakes!

My name is Kelly Karpuk and my passion for baking began as a young child where I made fun and creative sweets for both family and friends. As I grew older I was thrilled to discover that I could take my natural abilities and turn then into the perfect career choice for me. I fine-tuned my skills in 2007 when I attended LeCordon Bleu, School of Culinary Arts, Pasadena, CA, graduating at the top of my class. I was so excited to formally learn my trade that I didn't even mind the hours- long daily commute!

People often ask, "What's your favorite thing is to bake?" This becomes a difficult question to answer, as I always have to consider not only the pastries and cakes that I am making, but also the customer's reaction to the items they have ordered. My first answer would include my favorite part, the artistic portion, the decorating. I love making a cake come to life, taking the clients instructions and combining them with my own talents to create something beautiful and/or interesting. I love to see the looks on people's faces when they first see their cake, I think that is priceless. But, as for the favorite thing I bake, it's definitely cheesecake. It is the customer's reaction after the first bite, heaven!

My cheesecakes first became famous at Cosmos Italian Kitchen in Las Flores. Where all of our regular customers and everyone who works there calls me 'Kelly Cheesecake' or 'Cheesy', my cakes are that memorable! This positive reaction to my cakes led to many orders and clients.

So after thinking about opening an "official" business for over a year, I met my sales manager; Cindy Hackler and we finally did it! So you no longer have to dream about that special cake, now you can get all your sweet tooth cravings filled with one phone call! Enjoy!
